WJ Keenan equip students will the skills needed to manage and plan enjoyable events. The Hospitality Academy in partnership with local businesses and the University of South Carolina will offer students opportunities to explore potential career paths in areas such as: wedding planning, concert promotion and large event planning, food presentation and preparations, and sports and entertainment event planning. The Hospitality Academy student will graduate with a certification in ServSafe, which is a food and beverage safety training and certificate program administered by the National Restaurant Association. Training includes sanitation guidelines, food preparation, foodborne illnesses, allergens and safety regulations. Coursework prepares the students for degree options at the University of South Carolina, Columbia College, and other career paths in the industry.
