Project Lead the Way Engineering

WJ Keenan is a Project Lead the Way and Cognia certified STEM school offering project-based instruction that builds a strong foundation in engineering and computer science. Students learn the fundamentals of the engineering design process through hands-on projects and research. These activities not only build knowledge and skills in engineering, but also empower students to develop essential skills such as problem solving, critical and creative thinking, communication, collaboration, and perseverance. Students in the Engineering Pathway explore a broad range of engineering topics and then apply these skills to challenges and solve problems for clients. Students are exposed to career options, dialog with working professionals, and engage in real-world problem solving. Students that qualify can enroll with Midlands Tech to complete high school graduation requirements with a special designation on their diploma and a certificate in mechanical engineering technology.
